This was our first walk after we bought Alston Hostel, and remains one of our favourites. If you have transport to Garrigill, it is a 90 minute circular walk from ample roadside parking. You can extend to a reasonably gentle short day walk by taking the 4 mile walk along the Pennine Way to Garrigill. Highlight of the walk is the waterfall, with the option to walk behind the falls. Watch the water tumbling down as you sit and let the world go by.
